Consultant Neuropsychiatrist

An expert witness in Neuropsychology. Expertise in mental health conditions arising as a result of brain injury: psychosis, emotional and behavioural dysfunction, functional neurological disorders

Consultant Neuropsychologist

An expert witness in Neuropsychology. Expertise in in traumatic brain injury and providing cognitive assessments, capacity assessments, therapy and rehabilitation reports on acquired brain injury and neurological conditions.

Consultant Neurophysiologist

An expert witness in Neurophysiology. Expertise in assessing disorders of the nervous system and muscles (neuromuscular disorders), providing assessment and reports of the nervous system using EMGs, EEGs, and nerve conduction studies. Neurophysiologists are often involved in assessing epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and motor neuron disease.

Consultant Neuroradiologist

An expert witness in Neuroradiology. Expertise in diagnostic and interventional imaging of the brain and spine. Interventional neuroradiologists are also experts in providing minimally-invasive imaging-guided treatments (e.g., stent placement).

Consultant Paediatric Neurologist

An expert witness in paediatric neurology. Expert in compiling reports on child brain injuries arising from road traffic accidents, personal injury and clinical negligence.

Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist

An expert witness in Paediatric Neuropsychology. Specialist in providing cognitive assessment, capacity assessment, therapy and rehabilitation in children with acquired brain injury.

MRI scanning

Evidence-gathering for expert witness reports. 3T MRI scanning with part 35 compliant protocols to enable effective discovery and assessment of brain injury. Structural imaging provides detail on anatomical changes and evidence of blood products. Advanced diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) provides detail on integrity of white matter tracts.

Care Expert

An expert witness in care and impact assessment. A Registered Nurse expert in learning disability, brain injury, neurology and neuropsychiatry services.

Occupational therapist

An expert witness in occupational therapy. Expertise in impact assessment and life changes as a result of brain injury.

A multi-disciplinary approach

We take a multi-disciplinary approach with the option of instructing different experts through Gyrus as a single provider. This reduces duplication of records or instructions to different experts.
