Animorph Co-op has been shortlisted to win a prize to develop an innovative AI solution to support patients with dementia. The company has developed revolutionary glasses using AI to prompt patients with gentle reminders and instructions on how to use household items, as well as support on how to avoid trip hazards and falls.

The glasses aim to help patients with dementia navigate their environments, supporting them with using appliances and finding items around the house. The glasses have a built-in microphone and speakers, which assist patients by providing them with gentle reminders and by playing back memories associated how to use household objects.

The glasses were co-developed with people with lived experience of dementia to understand the needs and priorities of patients with dementia. The innovative solution, if funded, aims to improve patients’ ability to live independently.
